Burned out☆燃え尽きた感

Hi, this is Shire. Thank you very much for coming to my room again!

I’ve had this “burn-out” feeling for a long time since I decided to reduce my music activities as a professional musician around 2015.

As some of you might know, I had spent all my possible energies, willpower, time & money towards to my music and I finally came to the point that I totally burned out. So, I do not have any regret about my decision at all. I am very happy to be able to see other things & worlds I had not been able to see before.

At the same time, I am still missing something would make me feel totally absorbed… like those live music shows I used to perform. I used to love the moment I was in the absolute “zone” and felt the exploding excitement and positive energies from the audience while I was pounding the drumset. That was absolutely amazing.

I’m not so interested in playing the power drumming anymore (it IS super tough anyways) and not interested in such an instant, spark of pleasure like a drag either. I might have been a “zone-addict” for a long time which would be a reason why I have been feeling more burnout than usual (By the way, I’ve never ever taken any narcotic drag or even smoke before).

Since the pandemic changed all our schedules & life styles, I suddenly got more time to start facing towards myself. Then I realized that I have been trying really hard to find a “replacement” of my zone-addict substance like music performing. I had the feeling of “burn-out” because I have not found the replacement yet.

Well, I know I should not look for a replacement, but a brand-new something cool for me. It should not be an instant substance, but a more stable and sustainable stuff to my soul.

I think I am now on my way there. Hopefully I will find my healthy, peaceful new zone near future.
