Diary: June 21st, 2020

Hi, this is Shire. Thank you very much for coming to my room again!

Today, many countries celebrate the Father’s Day. I did send a bouquet & small gift (via a Japanese gift shop) to my father in the physical world which reached him a few days before today. My mother said (on LINE) he was very happy with it.

He and I do not talk much except when I visit my parents in Japan. I used to feel really disappointed and hoped to be able to make a hearty conversation with him. However, it never happened and would never happen. He is a typical Japanese old-fashioned person who can never change and/or compromise his biased, stubborn ideas. So, many people around him were gone. My mother already gave up about the issue with him and so did I.

At this point, I just hope that he will live his life happily (in his term). That’s all.

One thing I’m truly thankful to him is that he has never interfered my life decision, ever. He just let me go to the school, the place and the country I wanted to go. That is probably the best gift I’ve ever got from him.

Thank you, dad. Happy Father’s Day!

ま、そういう人ですが、悠々自適に自分の人生を無理なく楽しんで過ごして頂ければ良いな、と思っています。Happy Father’s Day!
