No regret☆後悔しない

Hi, this is Shire. Thank you very much for coming to my room again♪

As I mentioned this before, I always ask myself whether or not I regret before whatever I do even it is a really tiny thing like “I want to take a nap.”

Haven’t you really regret when you chose to be lazy and do nothing at your off-day? “Oh no! I should have cleaned my room and worked on this and that!” … I used to regret like this all the time. I always had a detailed plan in my head everyday, but not everything could be done within the day. My new year’s resolutions, detailed study schedules at the beginning of each semester, many goals and challenges I had set for a long time… such things all turned into a repetition of regret. My head became a full of regret and sense of guilt. Even if I accomplished certain things, the accumulated regret and guilty feelings didn’t really allow me to feel completely happy and satisfied.

So, when I started working on the band project with my band partner in 2009, I decided to do every possible thing I could ever think of in order for us to make it big (to be a rockstar, lol). I didn’t want to feel any bit of regret even if the project failed. That was the only reason.

You already know the story so that I’m not going to repeat it here. It has been a few years since I stopped working hard as an active musician, and I have no regret about it. Some say “You should keep doing until your dream comes true.” Yes, that would be the case for some people, but not for me. I’ve done everything I could do and completely burned out. No regret at all.

Then, my daily life has changed as well. I stopped feeling any regret or guilt about things I could have done but didn’t do. When I decide to do something (especially more lazy or selfish idea/plan than some productive/ethical ones), I ask myself “You’re not going to regret, are you?” If I miss a great opportunity/chance, I immediately tell myself “That is the flow.” No regret at all.

My life seems much easier and simpler in these days 🙂
