Diary: January 10th, 2020

Hi, this is Shire. Thank you very much for coming to my room again♪

During the Thanksgiving weekend, I ordered a doll outfit via Etsy. It was a complete set which looked like a perfect miniature of a human outfit! It was beautiful and well-detailed shoes, bag, accessaries, skirt, shirt, jacket and pretty hat all together. It was a little bit over-priced as a doll outfit (over $100), but I fell in love with the set and decided to get it for my doll’s Christmas gift.

The seller (who is also the artist who made the outfit) did ship the package quickly. It was on the 1st or 2nd day of December. The package was shipped from the country in Middle Asia where I had never imagined where the exact location would be until this time. That is one of my favorite things to choose items in Etsy where I can contact great artists from many different countries all over the world.

Unfortunately, the package has not been here yet. Myself and the seller have been keeping in touch pretty well, and she (the seller) seemed pretty worried and stressed out about the situation. She went her postoffice to check the status of the package several times, but they only told her that all packages shipped to the US have been completely delayed due to Christmas/New Year time. The tracking number I got was not even in the system yet. If the tracking information was clear, I would check in with USPS. But there is no way for me to investigate it.

All other items I ordered after that (between Dec. 15 ~ 20) came to my place by the last week. They came from countries in Europe, Australia, Japan and South America. They all arrived but the package from her has not been here yet.

Of course, I was frustrated and getting upset about the situation. I started thinking about the refund process since it was not a cheep set. Then, I thought about her… it was not her fault at all. She did create the beautiful outfit with her love and tried to send it to me.

…. Well, ok. I wrote her the message today that I would never ask her for the refund even if the package never arrived. I paid for her artistic effort and passion. It was an unfortunate situation, but it was not her fault. I respect artists like her.

A few hours later, she replied that she will make another complete set for me (with no charge) if the package does not arrive within 2 weeks. If this becomes the case, of course I will send her some money for sure. Money is not the matter, but it is a great item to show some respects.

I hope she will feel good now. Have a great weekend, my friends!
