Flowers of the month (November, 2018)

Hi, this is Shire. Thank you very much for coming to my room again! This “Flowers of the month” series are written in both English & Japanese at the same time since there are many images I would like you all enjoy at once.

I finally came back from Japan 🙂
Let’s start my monthly flower arrangement♬

November, 2018 Main color: Deep Red; Birth stone: Citrine
年11月~テーマカラー:真紅; 誕生石:シトリン~

【Theme of the arrangement】The color of fall leaves – Fall season reaches the climax with the beautiful color change of leaves. I use Japanese maple branches with deep red leaves as an Ikebana style to create the suitable atmosphere. As for the birth stone, you can see the special (large) yellow chrysanthemum under the maple branches.

【Flowers for the arrangement】 Japanese maple trees (Acer palmatum), Chrysanthemum (chrysanthemum morifolium)

*I’m going to make more concise description for this series from now on. All images are borrowed and edited from Pinterest.

【Display Image】Image drawing of the arrangement by Shire.

As you see, the Japanese maple branches are made to create the fall atmosphere. It looks like one tree, but it’s actually a bunch of branches which are shaped as an ikebana style (You can see the image example below). The branches are actually way more spreading out and gorgeous.

*Birthstone flower*Chrysanthemum (chrysanthemum morifolium) – Citrine/Topaz
*誕生石花* 厚物菊(シトリン/トパーズ)

You may see this type of “large” chrysanthemum at some flower shows especially in Japan (I actually saw some beautiful chrysanthemums last week at a flower fair in Tokyo). I’ve picked 3 of them to represent the birth stone as well as the fall color contrast.

I’ll post my drawing one more time to imagine the “real” flowers & the arrangement better now.

Please visit the imaginary school in Shamballa so that you will be able to see & smell the beautiful flowers💖
