Flowers of the month (February, 2017)

Hi, this is Shire. I hope you all are… not surprised by being in February already! At least I am super surprised 🙂 Anyways, this is my flower time in Shamballa ♪

There was a master class at The Shamballa School last week and many students who do share their double-life stories (in both the real and Shamballa) participated and had an interesting time together. The master class was held at the school auditorium which is right next to the lobby where I set my flower arrangement every month. I hope many of them could check it out and smell the flowers as well.

For this month, since I am interested in checking out the Birth month flowers, I wanted to use violet and primrose for sure! For many places, African violet seems more common but I would prefer using “sweet violet” for the color and atmosphere.

[I borrowed all images below from Pinterest]

Here is the white primrose I really enjoy setting right next to the violets.

Both violets and primroses are used as potted plants.  The pots are made of silver and look almost like a shiny goblet. They suppose to be set as follows:

So, as you see above, there is the center-piece which is a full of roses… yes, they are suggesting “Valentine’s Day” in this month 🙂 At this time though, I use sweeter colors than common red roses: champagne creme and pastel pink.

They both have same size (flowers) which are about to start blooming. Then I add red roses between them which are smaller but have really nice and deep color red. You can see the image of flower size comparison here:

The rose combination is in this another silver, skinny vase (about 50cm=19″ tall). You can see the imaginative size comparison with a primrose/violet pot:

Now, hopefully you can imagine and smell the flowers of February, 2017 at the Shamballa School. I really like the color combination in this time. It makes me feel definitely sweeter & dreamy 🙂

Would you be able to imagine it (as much as I do)?
